1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS
By accessing or using Loremana ("the Service", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of Loremana, a service operated from Ontario, Canada.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
Loremana is a subscription-based creative world-building platform that provides AI-assisted tools for narrative creation, character development, world documentation, and story management. The Service includes text generation (Scribe), image generation (Artist), and related features depending on your subscription tier.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. ACCOUNTS & REGISTRATION
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
- One account per person. Account sharing is not permitted on individual plans.
- You must notify us immediately at legal@loremana.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. SUBSCRIPTIONS & BILLING
Billing Cycles
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. Annual plans are billed as a single upfront payment. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Refunds
We offer a 7-day refund policy on all new paid subscriptions. If you are not satisfied within 7 days of your first payment, contact us at legal@loremana.com for a full refund. Refunds are not available after this period except where required by applicable law.
Price Changes
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect at your next renewal date.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. Your payment information is handled by Lemon Squeezy and subject to their terms. We do not store your payment card details.
Taxes
Prices may be subject to applicable taxes (including Canadian GST/HST/PST) which will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
5. YOUR CONTENT
You retain ownership of all original content you create and upload to Loremana ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
We do not claim ownership of Your Content and will not use it to train AI models without your explicit consent.
You are solely responsible for ensuring Your Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
6. AI-GENERATED CONTENT
The Service uses third-party AI providers (including OpenRouter for text and fal.ai for images) to generate content based on your prompts. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. Always review generated content before use.
- Ownership and copyright status of AI-generated content may vary by jurisdiction. We make no warranties regarding your ability to copyright AI-generated outputs.
- AI generation quotas are subject to your subscription tier and reset as defined in your plan.
- We are not liable for the content generated by third-party AI systems in response to your prompts.
7. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, or violates the rights of others
- Attempt to circumvent AI content filters or safety systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the Service's source code
- Use the Service for spam, scraping, or automated abuse
- Share account access with others in violation of your plan terms
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or disruptive content
Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension without refund.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Loremana platform, interface, branding, and underlying software are the intellectual property of the Service operator. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
9. DISCLAIMERS & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages including loss of data, profits, or creative work.
10. TERMINATION
You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on severity.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. We will retain your data for 30 days after which it may be permanently deleted, subject to our Privacy Policy.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
12. CHANGES TO TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email (if you have a verified email on file) and by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
